17/01/14: New 45’s and LP paintings
I’m on a mission ( remember the 80’s house tune?)
since the end of last year i’ve been in my studio first in the morning till early evening, churning out painting after painting, exploring different colour mixes and brush techniques. When making these paintings i’ve been meticulous in trying to get very fine details and neat edges. Each painting of a 45 rpm single takes about 5 hours and twice that for 12″/Lp paintings. The longest part to complete is the blurred/reflective parts that probable take up to 10 layers to ensure smooth gradients of colour. Some of these are unfinished. I’m hoping to get a bunch of these together to sell by April.
